Presenting
Adrian Cox
After the very first Jazz in the Church concert which was held last summer at All Saints I’m incredibly excited to announce JITC shall be coming back for a Christmas special! This absolutely beautiful and peaceful small church is where the late great Robert and Pete Cotterill are lying at rest, the two biggest influences in my musical career. It’s with great pleasure that I welcome you to this very intermit and special Jazz in the Church concert. This concert will be featuring a close friend of mine and the always fabulous Adrian Cox.
Adrian Cox started playing clarinet aged 6 and became a professional musician by ages 15.
His career started and is still based heavily in the worldwide jazz scene which has included performances with Wynton Marsalis and the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra both in the U.K. and New York.
Away from the jazz scene, Adrian can be seen performing with Ska legends Bad Manners all over the world and has clocked up recording and gigging time with the likes of Maceo Parker, Paloma Faith, Dr John, Guy Barker to name a few…
“Touches the ‘other world’ that all musicians aspire to”
Cerys Matthews (bbc 6 music)
